The NATTUR CENTRE is located inside the Hydrographic Basin of the Panama Canal. Its location, accessibility and attractions are ideal for moderate market volume of cruise visitors, student groups and nature lovers. The area has been protected since 1977 and conserved under a process of natural regeneration and native forest. NATTUR CENTRE's attractions, the Gatún Lake, the tropical forest and the wildlife that inhabits it are relate to other places, such as the Panama Canal, the Chagres River and the San Lorenzo Castle, Colon City, Portobelo and native communities.
El CENTRO NATURAL de NATTUR PANAMA (NATTUR CENTRE) esta localizado dentro de la cuenca Hidrográfica del Canal de Panamá. The main activity is the interaction with the rainforest. One mile Nature Walk into the forest, led by a naturalist guide, will be a very productive experience. The tour leader will focus more in wild life, plants, trees along the trail, also stop at the Butterfly Garden for audio visual and lecture about butterfly. A complement is a visit to the Poison arrow or dart frogs exibit, the Green Iguanas and the aviary. Along the trail you will have the oportunity to come across from the main land to a penisula by a hanging or suspended bridge over the water of Gatun Lake. Duration of the tour: 4 hours. The EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM that NATTUR PANAMA offers has been designed to support and to promote new proposals of activities related to the environmental education inside the national territory focusing on students of secondary and primary schools. We offer tours guided by suitable professionals that will fortify the theoretical school programs. Our tours will have a sequence of activities that will help to create a pleasant and confortable environment inside the group. These group dynamics will be used to fill spaces during the excursions, to achieve the concentration of the restless groups or carry out the introduction of a new theme with greater facility.
